After a very successful week in Salzburg in June 2010, we have been asked to return and Spend another 7 nights exploring the beautiful City beyond….

The city of Salzburg is nestled between two mountains Kapuzinerberg and Mönchsberg and the River Salzach. It is a picturesque city with small alleyways, quaint colorful town houses, rich castles and palaces, with styled gardens and a large number of churches and monasteries.

Salzburg is most certainly a city of music. It was the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the memorial to him at the Salzburg Mozart Square honours the city's most famous son. This city has retained its charm and character through the centuries. Today Salzburg is known for its annual cultural Festival (Salzburger Festspiele), which offers a variety of operas, concerts and theatrical plays, ranging from classical to contemporary styles Also famous for the ‘Sound of Music’, you can see where the highlights were filmed and the historical and architectural landmarks in the City itself aswell as part of the picturesque lake district.

Our Hotel: You will stay in the charming 4 star boutique Austrotel Hotel right in the heart of Salzburg, opposite the Mirabell-garden. It offers a central base and the location is very close to the historical city centre at Mirabellplatz, only a few mins walk to the most famous sights. This 71 room hotel, originally built as a palace for the Archbishop Paris Lodron in 1653, radiates historical charm together with modern character. All rooms were furnished with great attention to detail and have a telephone, cable TV, radio, mini-bar, safe, bath tub or shower, toilet, hair dryer and make up mirror.
